Attorney – Matthew Ruggles


Prior to joining Buckley & Zopf, Mr. Ruggles was an attorney in the Philadelphia office of Lavin O’Neil Ricci Cedrone & DiSipio. While at Lavin O’Neil, Mr. Ruggles’ practice focused on litigation defense, representing clients in property damage, personal injury, and business related matters as well as product manufacturers in a variety of complex litigation and mass tort matters.

Mr. Ruggles now assists clients in a variety of matters including: civil litigation, real estate, personal injury, corporate, probate, trust and estate, landlord/tenant, and family law. Our office also handles criminal defense, DUI/DWI defense, and elder law matters.

Mr. Ruggles earned his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law- Camden in Camden, New Jersey in 2006. He earned his Bachelors of Arts from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.

Mr. Ruggles is admitted to practice in New Hampshire, New Jersey and Pennsylvania* state courts and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and District of New Jersey. He has been a member of the local and state bar associations.

In his spare time, Mr. Ruggles is a coach for the Upper Valley Rowing Foundation and Lebanon Crew Team and dedicates his time to several non-profit organizations including: Habitat for Humanity, Healing the Children, the Crew Team of St. Joseph’s Preparatory School, Hawk Rowing, Barclay Farm Swim Club, and the Chatham Row Condominium Association.

Originally from the Philadelphia, PA area, Mr. Ruggles now lives in the Upper Valley with his wife.
